Car Driver (part-time) IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Director of Transportation GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Transports students to and from school or alternate instructional sites by motor vehicle, and works to ensure the safety of the student passenger(s) within the driver's care.
Does related work as required.
Work is performed under the supervision of the director of transportation.
Essential Functions:
Drives County-owned vehicle (car, van or SUV) to pick up and deliver students to/from school or alternate instructional site.
Performs pre-trip inspection of vehicle.
Reports operating and/or equipment deficiencies.
Keeps vehicle clean of trash or debris.
Fuels vehicle as required.
Obeys all traffic laws and observes mandatory safety regulations for vehicle operations.
Transports only authorized students and/or school personnel.
Reports all accidents and completes required reports.
Records mileage, maintains various records and prepares a variety of reports on activities.
Ensures passenger safety and maintains discipline.
Makes reports as necessary.
Performs other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Skill in the safe operation of a motor vehicle; general knowledge of local geography and the location of streets; ability to detect malfunctioning equipment; ability to assist children using patience and understanding; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school officials, public, associates and students.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a driver's license.
Must maintain a satisfactory driving record from the Division of Motor Vehicles that meets state requirements and indicates positive driving points.
Drug and alcohol testing is required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
